The USA is in North America. It’s between Canada in the north and Mexico in the south. There are 50 states in the USA. They include Alaska and Hawaii. There are 48 continental states. The capital of the USA is Washignton DC. The name of the city comes from the first american president, George Washington and DC means District of Columbia. The american president lives in Washington in the White House. His address is 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. The USA borders two important oceans. The Pacific Ocean on the west coast and the Atlantic Ocean. San Francisco, Los Angeles and San Diego are all important cities on the west coast and New York and Boston are major cities on the east coast. The american flag is called “The Stars and Stripes”. It’s got 50 stars and 13 stripes on it. The stars represent the 50 states of the USA and the stripes represent the 13original colonies of the USA.
