31 Gen 2017

I’m going to talk about Albania because my parents and grand-parents are Albanian. I speak Albanian very well because I sometimes speak albanian with my parents. My cousin got married in Albania and I visit her every summer. My grand-parents live with my uncle. I like Albania!
Geography
Albania has a total area of 28,748km2. Its capital is Tirana. It borders Kosovo to the north-west , Montenegro to north-east, Macedonia to east, Greece to south and the Adriatic sea to west. The population is about 2,778 million of people. The longest river is the Drin river (about 335km). The highest point is the mount Korab (about 2.764m). The climate is temperate: cool, cloudy and wet winters; hot, clear and dry summers.
Hystory
The first information date back to the Indo-European invasion when the Illyrians occupied several territories of Balkan peninsula including Albania. It was ruled by the Illyrians , the Romans and the Ottomans .After the collapse of the Ottoman Empire in Europe , Albania declared independence in 1912.
Under the leadership of Enver Hoxha (ogia) the Albania communist party took power november 29,1944.
Hoxha remained a firm Stalinist despite the 20th congress of the Sovietic Union .This cause the Albania’s isolation from the rest of Europe. In 1967 Hoxha wrote the state atheism in the constitution. The political repression of Hoxha caused about 100.000 deaths.
In 2009 the Albania joined in NATO and in the EU in 2014.
The Albanian language
It’s the only survivor of the Illyrians’ group spoke in the past. So it’s older than Latin.
Now it’s composed of two sub groups the Tosco (toske in Albanian) in the south and the  Gheg (Gege in Albanian) in the north.

My favourite dish : byreku.

It’s a language spoken by 7.6 million of people in Albania, Kosovo and Montenegro.
Albanian typical meal
An Albanian typical meal is the byreku .The byreku is a pastry stuffed with which the stuffing can vary between the spinach and ham. It’s my favourite dish.
