These days many issues have occured with airlines and the most significant incident was caused May 9 2017, where the injuries suffered by this man, were quite severe which included a broken nose and a concussion.
This isn’t the first time that someone has been asked to remove themselfs from an aircraft. Overbooking, the problem when airlines accept more reservations then they have room for is one problem they make on a daily basis, in this case 4 were asked to leave, but only one man had a problem getting off.
This man named David Dao, he believed that since he payed for his seat he should be able to stay in it. Before these four people were asked to remove themselfs, the airline offered money, a flight the next day, and a hotel room, but no one gave up their seats. After no other possibility worked, they decided to have a computer randomly choose 4 people, and they would have to exit the aircraft.
David Dao being one of these people, had to get off the airplane, but refused to, and instead had to be dragged out of his window seat on the airplane. He suffered from a broken nose, concussion, and rug burns on his back caused from when he was dragged on the floor of the airplane. This situation has been talked about all over the world, and thankfully, David Dao’s lawyer, Thomas Demitrio, will be sueing United Airlines for the way they treated his client.
The question we have to ask ourselves is who in this situation was right? Was it okay to use violence? Like we said this is not the first time a problem has arose on an aircraft, but unfortunatly this has been the most violent.
