In this article we are going to write about our passion, Hip Hop. It is very COOL and we have fun to practice it . We go dancing once a week on Thursday. We started Hip Hop last September.
HISTORY
Hip Hop is a subcltural art moviment that was formed during the early 1970s by African-American youths living in New York City. Historically, hip hop arose out of the ruins of a post-industrial and ravaged South Bronx, as a form of expression of urban Black and Latino youth. Hip hop has been a powerful medium of protesting the law, particulary police and prisons.
Hip Hop music became popular outside of the African-American community in the late 1980s.
Hip Hop is an original form of dancing and a particular style of dressing.
The musical genre is characterized by four or more different elements.
The basic elements of hip hop – boasting raps, rival posses, uptown throw – and political commentary – were all present in African-American music.
An important DJ is a KOOL HERC.
